Island / Hotel Policies

 

Check-in time is 1PM; Check-Out time at 11AM. If you would like to arrive earlier or leave later please let us know in advance.

Payment and Taxes:

 

Reservations will be confirmed by a credit card prepayment of your first night stay plus taxes.  Please note that this amount is non-refundable. The remaining balance of your stay plus taxes is collected upon your arrival at the hotel, and you may use a different credit card or pay this amount in cash, US dollars or local currency.  (Local taxes: 15% IVA and 2% INTUR)

Please note:  We will apply an additional 5% fee for payment by credit card to cover additional bank charges.

Cancellation Policy:

​

• The prepaid first night stay plus tax (Reservation Fee): is not refundable under any circumstance.

• Cancellation more than 2 days before arrival:  No further fees will be assessed.

• Cancellation within 48 hours (of expected arrival time): 100% of the remaining balance of stay plus taxes will be assessed and charged. May be applied to a future stay by special arrangement.

• No show: (Guests that do not cancel and do not arrive at the hotel) 100% of the total stay plus taxes will be assessed and charged.

• Early departure: There is no refund for early departure.

 

 

Damage: Please note that the credit card on file will be used to cover any breakage or damage occurring during your stay.

Breakfast: All rooms include breakfast, served daily, 7:30 AM-10:00 AM.  Lunch and dinner items are not included in the room price and prices are listed on our menu. 

​

 

Smoking: All areas of the island and its boat are no-smoking.

​

​

Eco Resort and Sanctuary: Please be mindful that the islands are a habitat for many animals and that other eco-island resorts are nearby. We ask that you keep noise to minimum.

​

 

Parking / Security:  Guest staying on Isleta El Recedo can leave vehicles parked in front of Hotel La Polvora, the hotel has a night security person for keeping an eye on vehicles, or may park at our dock and pay 100 cordoba per night per vehicle to the family that live there to keep an eye things. Please be aware that our facilities employ security cameras and that your image will be recorded.

I.D. Requirement & Guests: Everyone that enters the island for the first time is required to show a photograph I.D. / passport with proof of age. We are required to keep a photocopy of this I.D. on file. We do not allow anyone under 18 years of age onto the premises unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anybody.

The hotel is not responsible for lost or damaged items, personal injury or loss.
